Attorney James Tierney has been practicing law since 1993. His practice is concentrated in the areas of estate planning, probate, and taxation. Prior to forming DesRosiers & Tierney, LLC in February 2012, James worked as a Partner at Cody & Cody, LLC in Quincy, an estate planning associate at Cushing & Dolan in Boston and as a Manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers. Attorney Tierney graduated from Boston College, and is a cum laude graduate of Suffolk University Law School. Jim also earned a Legal Masters of Taxation from Boston University Law School Graduate Tax Program. Jim frequently speaks at client seminars, offering presentations on various estate planning topics. He has been a featured Faculty Member for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Program on Estate Planning. Attorney Tierney is a member of the Mass Bar Association, the Mass Society of Certified Public Accountants, Business Networking International (BNI) and WealthCounsel. Jim is a current member and past president of the Norfolk & Plymouth Estate Planning Council. Tierney has been admitted to the Massachusetts Bar, Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, U.S. District Court, First Circuit District of Massachusetts, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Jim resides on the South Shore with his wife, three children and two dogs.
